British manufacturer Numatic International has chosen Cadasio to provide a modern approach to online servicing presentations.
Primarily producing domestic, commercial and industrial cleaning and maintenance equipment to a worldwide audience, Numatic is perhaps best known for its iconic Henry vacuum cleaner used in thousands of households and offices around the country.
With subsidiary companies in France, South Africa, Germany, Switzerland, Portugal and Spain, a key factor to Numatic’s success is the close relationship that has been established with both customers and suppliers worldwide.
Numatic have a comprehensive support site that has information regarding all of their ranges of products. With PDFs, exploded drawings and renders already available, Pat Parker, Technical Publishing & Projects Manager said: "We are always looking at ways of improving the offering we have and we know that having an interactive 3D presentation can really help support the end user."
Since the end user can interact with the models it’s easier to visualise what’s occurring and less text is required, which can save massively on translation costs. Presentations created with Cadasio offer another way of consuming instructions and procedures, as well as providing a simple and effective means to quickly get a 3D model online.
"We are always looking at ways of improving the offering we have and we know that having an interactive 3D presentation can really help support the end user."
Having more resources available and giving end users more choice can only be a good thing.
"Our aim is to continue to be innovative, maintain a high standard of quality and to provide good value for money and Cadasio is one of the tools we use to achieve this." Pat adds.
Starting with some of their trusted SERVO-Matic cleaning trolley range, Numatic are looking at creating Cadasio presentations for their entire range of products. Since they primarily use the SolidWorks suite of software, Cadasio slotted easily into their existing workflow with its integrated addin. Being able to update projects when a CAD design changes means that starting the technical communication process can occur earlier on, helping improve time to market.
Cadasio has always aimed to be simple to use and value for money and this is something that Pat appreciated when first looking at the software Other tools we already had were not as user friendly, quick to use or as cost effective, Cadasio has really changed the way we present our data said Pat.
