For organisations and teams with specific compliance requirements or those looking to optimise system performance, we offer a flexible hosting option for our Premium users. As a Premium subscriber, you can choose to store your project data in alternative regions outside of North America.

What do I need?

Localised Data Hosting is available to users subscribed to the Cadasio Premium plan.

What are the choice of server locations?

At this moment in time, you can currently set you data to be hosted in either North America or Europe, we may add more regions in the future if demands warrant it.

Where is my data stored?

Cadasio uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) data centres to store customer data. By default, customers data will be stored on our North American, United States, AWS servers. Customers who choose for their data to be stored in Europe (EU) region will have their data stored in Ireland?.

What data is stored in the region I choose?

Your data consists of 3 main elements. You mesh data (3D objects), project data (the steps) and user data (account information). This data  will be held on the servers in the region you specify for your data hosting. To ensure a smooth login experience we may have minimal account information (such as email) stored globally.

Will all data be processed in the region?

Arguably the most important data, the mesh and project data will always be processed in the region you choose. Your user data, such as email address and account information, may be processed outside of the region you select for certain services or Cadasio features.

How do I set up Localised Data Hosting?

Users on our Premium plan can request to change their their data location from within the dashboard. Browse to the settings area and then data localisation, then click the "Request Migration" button.

Is this an automatic process?

In the future we may automate the process entirely but at the moment, you request the migration and a member of the support team will be in touch to sort it all out. We do this manually to ensure the migration takes place during a suitable time for you and confirm everything behaves as you expect.

If I am on the Personal or Professional Subscriptions where will my data be stored?

By default, we will store your data in our North American server. Cadasio reserves the right to move your data to another region at any time.

If I am a Premium plan customer, do I automatically get Localised Data Hosting in my region by default?

No, you will need to manually request the region of your choice.

Can I get localised Data Hosting outside of my region?

Yes. Any Premium plan customer can request to host your data in the Europe, or North America region.

Do I need to pay extra for Localised Data Hosting?

No. Localised Data Hosting is available to all Premium Plan customers at no additional cost.

How long does Localised Data Hosting take to set up?

Once you change your location, it can take up to 24hrs for existing data to be migrated. You will be notified via email when it has been successfully completed.

Does using Localised Data Hosting impact Cadasio’s performance?

Using Localised Data Hosting has no negative impact and can improve Cadasio’s performance.

Does using Localised Data Hosting impact Cadasio's features or functionality?

No. Cadasio works the same way in all regions.
