Cadasio includes excellent mixed media markup tools which allow for text, image, video and audio input, along with a wide selection of improved font and formatting options.

Mixed Media Types

Within the designer, open up the toolbox and make sure the Cadasio Default toolbox is selected. Item Number, Text, and Label markups all support mixed media, meaning you can start with a piece of text, but then insert video, audio and images within the same frame.

Text Editing Options

The text editor allows you to format your markup exactly how you need it. Double click an item to begin editing it. There are options for font, size, colour, highlight, alignment and justification.

You can also add lists and tables as well as being able to insert hyperlinks to external content and link to internal meta-data from your CAD models.

Images

When placing an image, on double click, you will be taken to the asset browser, where you can choose from the pre-existing library of assets or upload your own.

Fonts

The choice of fonts inside Cadasio has been significantly expanded through the integration of Google fonts. Google fonts, is a huge web-based library of fonts which you can browse, search and filter based on specific criteria, meaning you can style your projects so that they are in line with your company branding.

From within the designer, the font list has an option for *customise list*. This takes you to the Fonts dialogue where you can choose any of the Google fonts and add to, or remove from, your favourites.

Management

It’s also worth mentioning that Toolbox, Assets and Fonts can also all be managed outside of the designer, directly from the Library tab on the dashboard.

We also have additional sets that you can incorporate into your workflow. Within the toolbox you will see a download button in the top right. From here you can add the pre built toolbox sets, such as navigation links and arrows. You can also add in the Cadasio default toolbox again which can be useful if you have made changes to the original.
